Clean and clean again the teat, you use the whole tube, one on each side. You do not insert the whole infusion tip up into the teat, it is more like pushing the tip against the orifice, to seal it than pushing the plunger and making the medicine go into the teat. Now hold the end of the teat closed and with your other hand stroke the material up into the udder, massage well. I have never had just using infusions work on a doe with mastitis, we also give subq shots of pennicillin. Unless you know what the mastitis you have is you won't know what meds to really use. Take a milk sample now, and put it in the fridge, this way after 3 days of using Today and the pen subq, and you still have mastitis, you can send in the milk sample and find out just what you have.
What does the milk look like? Vicki
