This is what is puzzling us---there was no swelling at all. The vet called it a stiffle bone break. We've never heard of a stiffle! It is her back right leg between her hock and hip. We had put her in a hammock/sling and examined her legs as they hung down.We did'nt see anything then. We are afraid that their is nerve damage now because she doesn't respond to any pulling or moving that leg, the other leg she does.
