We have had a doe break her leg, compound fracture. Once casted though she was up and bounding around, and actually using the cast as a weapon. In fact we gingerly carried her from the truck into the milk room area, thinking that we would get a pen for her made up by herself, and when we let her go, she jumped up onto the milk stand to see if any food had been left! We put her in with the herd. She is now 11 and just had twins. Wasn't this leg/knee badly swollen? Vicki
