I try to put away a couple of quarts a year...at least. I heat treat the colostrum and then put it in quart Zip-Loc freezer bags and straight to the freezer. Since I've started bottle feeding all the kids, I thaw the colostrum a few days before the doe is due and feed that. I take some more from the new mother and replenish my supply.
When thawing, remember to place the bag in another container and allow it to thaw in the refrigerator. If you don't put the bag in something it will leak sticky stuff all over the place!
