Hi everyone, just have a quick question.
I have 2 does that are bred 54 days. I would like to worm them, but wanted to know what is safe and effective at this point. I don't want to cause them to abort and have heard horror stories about using different wormers, and causing problems. (I think it was one of the sheep wormers that caused problems if overdosed?)
During the dry period, they and the herd were wormed with the cattle and swine Ivormec (we had a suposed lung worm infections so they really got wormed intensively - 3cc for a full size goat, which they got twice in a 20 day interval)
Everyone appears to be fine, good weight, no real concerns. I just want to be sure that the babies are getting all the nutrients they can get, and I noticed that my buck is a little "itchy" so I want to be sure that I dont have any lice. I know that this is extra lable, but most of the drugs we end up using are. and yep, I know that Ivormec really stings... learned that first hand.. :-)
If anyone has any insite, please let me know - thanks..!
