My goats get the "string of pearls" poop during times of stress. I see this at shows alot. Maybe its related to their eating habits being changed, I've noticed my goats will not clean up their feed at shows like they do at home. With the internal changes your doe is experiencing with a late term pregnancy pressing on her digestive organs perhaps its not working quite like it should and causing her feces to have more mucus. That's what causes the fecal balls to stick together like a string of pearls. Maybe some baking soda and some probios would help, can't hurt! And make sure she has an adequate chance to eat without being jostled around. Those late termers seem to know they need to protect themselves from injury and will avoid the "feeding frenzy" even if they are hungry.
