I too raise alpines. i live in south central VA. I can't remember if you were the person from MD who asked for a sales list or not. If you were I am finishing them now. anyways... coughing can be the result of a number of things (as mentioned) ranging from worms (by the way, don't worm with valbazen while the goat is pregnant. I use safeguard if i need to then) Ivomec is debatable. I would guess it might be from allergies too or perhaps being in a close area without ventilation. This is called pasturella. I am not 100% sure if its just coughing or the snots too. One way to tell is to put an ear to her lung area and check for a rattle, etc. Just my thoughts on the situation. hope this helps.
