Water

We have a major show coming up the 2-4. I was told to take the goats off water about a week ago. I drench my goats 2 times a day. Is it good taking them off water now? Or should i wait til a few days before show? Also, One is 98 pounds the other is 111. I was told that taking them off water now will have them lose weight too..Any help is appericiated. Thanks
