We see this alot in second fresheners. The first time they kid most of our LaManchas seemed to have an adequate amount of milk though not huge, but watch out their second freshening! They would stretch out that udder to the point of bursting the capilarries in their udder, and we would have pink milk in the fridge. It hurts nothing, have never been able to culture anything from it, and goes away in a week or so as the udder increases in size and the first flush of fresh milk subsides some. Keep them empty and just watch them closely. Pasturised this bloody milk is horid smelling, but the goat kids don't mind! Now that family wouldn't touch it though! Vicki
