I am happy to report that after about 6 hours all of the woolies were sheared uneventfully. Some of the more prego. girls were not very well behaved, the Jacob rams were very bad woolies (Houdini bit the shearer) but all in all it went well. Last year we were still learning and the sheep looked awful. This year however will our shearers help and a new feed mix/hay they looked great. The one exception being Lurch our new ram. He is a yearling and had to attend to 22 or so ewes, that was a bit much for him so he lost more weight than he should have but not to bad. This is the very first year I did not get hooked, run over, squished, or stepped on....possibly I am still dreaming. We even got them wormed since they will be lambing in the next few weeks. Anyway gotta run Goathater and I are wooped. Now all we have to do is trim the sheep/goats worm the rams, lambs and goats then kid and lamb them all out. I am thinking nightmare now not dreams. You all have a good weekend.
