Well it could have been worse..I got a call in my phone bill not too long ago for $247.00+ to some foreign country that I know no one called since it was during the day, kids were in school Mike was at work and Zak and I were the only ones home..He does not use the phone, and even if he did, I doubt very much that he could talk for 45 minutes in a foreign language (smile)..I called the phone company and they took it right off..it was through AT&T long distance (which we do not use) and they tried sending me a bill for it and would not listen when I told them I did not make the call..what an argument!!
I do not even make long distance calls from our phone anymore..gets way to expensive, My parents use a calling card they purchased at Sams for 600 minutes at $20.00 and change. You can recharge the card over the phone w/your credit/debit card, but my parents do not like to do that so they normally throw them away and buy a new one. I asked my mom to save one of her empty ones (because we do not have a Sam's by us) and I would refill it for myself. I paid a little over $13.00 for 300 minutes. We normally make a lot of calls to Florida becasue that is where my family lives, one day I added up how many minutes a 60.00 long distance charge was on my phone bill, and it was about 303 minutes..after that I started refilling the card for a little over $13.00 for 300 minutes, wow we are talking close to a $50.00 savings here. I like the Sam's card because there is no access fee, or any type of time limit you need to use your minutes for..
