Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and will have a wonderful New Year. Things have been very busy around here..Busier than I thought I suppose..I thought we were done w/babies for the winter..guess I was wrong (smile)..
Here we have a picture of our newest little girl. Didn't even know her mamma Mabel was bred..she didn't seem to look any heavier than normal, she is kind of a furry goat to begin with and I didn't even notice her milk sacks being big...Then my son goes outside this afternoon and calls into me..I didn't believe him (because he jokes about new babies all the time) but I went outside anyway, and sure enough here is our new little girl.
The downside to this is that since she is black and white and not brown and white I doubt very much Bill E Jack is her father..which means the only buck we have left is Bubba who is Mabels brother (different mothers but Mabel and Bubba had the same father) How this happened..I don't know..I thought we had all of this under conrol. I hope everything is going to be ok..I never had experience with this before, has anyone else?
She seems to be healthy, feeding, and moving around, and it also appears that she is only a few hrs old..yet she is very active..unlike our other babies who normally just lay in the barn and sleep for a few days..
