Hi Goatmom,
We don't have much trouble with snakes, but, we did have one in our livingroom a couple of weeks ago. My little Tommy, 5 yrs. old, came up to me and said, mom there's a snake in the Living room, I said no, he said yes, I said NO! he said YES! So I said show me. There in our livingroom was an 18 inch spotted snake. I yelled for my husband and we caught it and the kids took it to school for a great show and tell. We live in Michigan so it is very cold outside and I wasn't about to keep Mr. Snake inside, the kids named him Jess. I called the local nature center and they gladly took Jess in. They said he was a milk snake and thanked us for not killing him. So now, we are a bit nervous about walking around the livingroom without the lights on full blast. We have lived here 5 years and its the first one so maybe we'll be safe for another five years!!!!
