Wow, what a sad story. I made sure before we bought our first goats last yr. that my husband was OK with them. In fact he was the one who bought the very first for a easter present for my daughter. I always ask if I smell like Bubba when I come in, My husband says 'If you can't smell that, I'm just gonna let you go to town smelling like him'. He puts up with a lot but he knew that before we got married. I think you can spend a lot of time and money on any hobby or intrest, but that is a responsibility too to realize how much it is taking to do these things. My biggest hobby, gardening, I spend a lot on rare plants that are difficult to grow. Being a Horticulturist you get to a point where you need bigger challenges. It is no different than goat breeding, collecting antiques, dolls or any other hobby or intrest there is always something higher up on the ladder as far as a challenge goes. But that is where it begins and we all need to know where it needs to stop.
