When I got up this morning (4am) there was already about and inch+ of snow. Randy left for work at 5 because that is when the worst was to start. Since I figured there would be no school I went back to sleep until 5:30 checked the school closings and fell asleep until 6:30 (slept in) figured the crew would be hungry since I was a 1/2 hour late. Jack the horse was pawing the ground looking for grass like he hadn't seen food in days. Then I hear Bubba screaming, I hurried down to the barn almost slipping and falling on the stairs going to the barn Bubba sounds frantic I thought maybe he got his leg caught in the hay feeder i called to him but he just kept on hollering. I get in the barn opened the stall door and there he stood looking out the door screaming because there was snow in front of his little door and he didn't want to get snowy. This goat would not come out for any thing apple carrot nothing. So I put his halter on and dragged him out of the barn. What a fight he gave this white dust was going to kill him and threw a huge fit. Started bucking and kicking and struggling to get to the barn, screamimng so loud the neighbors probably think I was abusing him. He was funny. Picking his feet way up in the air to keep from touching the snow, shakiing it off of him, twitching his tail, he couldn't stand thre and let the snow kill him quietly you know. I was laughing so hard at him I could hardly hold the lead. I made him go out because I am not going to bring him a bucket of water in the stall when the tank is 5 feet from the doorway outside the barn. Now that I have traumatized my poor goat I have sent the kid and the dog out in it. Well we are supposed to get 6-8 inches, I guess I better start shoveling.
