Thanks all for your thoughts and prayers this weekend. Goathater bucked off Friday and Saturday but made a ride on Sunday. It was a far cry from the best ride I have seen him make but he made it. He was just out of the $ by a few points but it was the first Mid States horse he has gotten any points on. Those things can really buck!!!!! That contracter should really look at trying to get into the IPRA they are too good for the small rodeos. Mid States bronc entries are getting smaller and smaller for just that reason. Nobody wants to ride a IPRA quality horse for little to no money, can't say I blame them. There wasn't any major injuries this weekend all the boys walked away and they say any ride you can walk away from is a good one. I sure was glad to get home even though we had alot of fun. Packing 3 days worth of clothes plus Goathaters rodeo gear into a Neon and driving for 2 hours tires a body out. Then stick 5 and 7 year old country kids in a hotel or bench seat for 3 days. Wow were they wired. The boys had to share a bed that was good for a laugh. Little Levi (5) kept rolling so Caleb had to roll he ended up rolling right off the bed. I packed all of my leather stuff so I could work on a pair of chaps and had another pair carefully packed to sell. Of course both Goathater and I walked off leaving the chaps carefully packed on the dinning room table. It didn't matter though and it was good to have brought my supplies as Goathater somehow ripped his so I could at least fix them for him. Anyway gotta run and maybe rest my fingers have hit the back space so many times in this post that it must be time to relax. Thanks again all!!!
