I have seen just as many bucks with UC as wethers, maybe more. I used to work at a veterinary college in the large animal clinic. I remember there being 4 BUCKS in for this condition in the same week. Some studies seem to show that it doesn't matter when you castrate wethers, the urethra develops the same diameter as in a buck. The only difference made by waiting until later (until 6 months old) is that the wether can fully extend the penis making treating UC easier. Most vets I have talked to believe it is most caused by improper diet as Gary's post indicated. It is the bucks (and wethers) that are "overloved" and overfed grain products that seem prone to UC. The Goat World articles page has several good articles about UC.
