My Father Inlaw feeds Gluten Corn to all of his cattle. We use it as well, but not for a sole feeding source. We have Calf Starter for the Calves, and a special blend of goat feed for our goats. My goats absolulty love the Gluten Corn and at time prefer it over their feed if you can believe that. Normally we mix it in w/their feed as well as the calves feed. Our Chickens also love it (smile)
One thing that you did not mention Gary that we have been told is that if you have an animal that is bred, it is best not to give them the Gluten Corn especially if you think they are going to have a large baby or you will have problems during delivery and wind up with a larger than usual baby. I have not searched for any literature to back this up, We got this info from my father inlaw and since he has been dealing w/cows all of his life, I really never questioned it.
