Sorry to hear about Max, it is very hard to do but when it is over there is an odd relief. We had to put my mom's horse down he had had inflamatory colitis, and needed to be in a sling to keep him off of his feet(hoof wall was seperating from foot the disease caused it) but in a standing position,anyhow it was winter and he struggled so my mom had to decide to let him go. But when it was over we didn't need to worry about him and how uncomfortable he was. I hope this is not causing your sis any stress. Give her a hug, she will need it.
