Well we did it we got most of our hay up today. I got home from my Moms Bday and discovered a load of hay had been dropped in our drive. Of course goathater was at a rodeo and the hay had to be unloaded this am. So a couple of phone calls later and my brother and his son came to help. Boy was that a good one! Me with my bad back, Keith a touch over weight and not used to doing hay, and his son who has never picked up a bale let alone toss one. It took us longer than it should have but we got it done. Mostly anyway. 3bales went to the sheep and about 12 were tossed every 10 feet or so for the horses just so we didn't have to stack anymore. : ). Tonite goathater moved some tough hay that is way to heavy and stacked 1/2 the load w/o me then I got the boys in the tub and tossed more hay. No wonder my sister tells me I have hands like my Dads. Anyway gotta go I am so itchy...heres the tip for the nite "DON'T DO HAY IN SHORTS" should be a no brainer but it was hot. Have a good one.
