As most of you might know I don't breed my does every year. I havent had kids born since 1999 and I would like to breed at less one or two of my does this October. Now the ones im thinking of breeding for having kids next March are a bit on the heavy side, thats not true, they are big fatties, just like everything I have (I know that's not a plus)but they had their last babies with out any problems in 1999, but they are older now. Is there any thing I should be worried about in breeding these 2 does. Tabitha is probably around 7 but not sure of that seeing I bought her in 1997 and Molly Jean will be 8 next year on March 17th about the same time as she would kid. Molly Jean had her first and only baby in 1999. Any information concerning breeding these 2 does would be greatly appreiated. I also thought of just purchasing a couple young kinda thin does and breeding them and leaving tabitha and Molly Jean as is. What are your thoughts on this. Im kinda leaning on just purchasing a couple does but also a little worried of bring new animals in since i havent purchased any new goats since I got tabitha in 1997. I will be leasing a Nebian billy or a Lamancha billy. Sandy and Kids
