Strange milk

Went out to feed my three pan babies. Milk looked like normal chilled milk. Started to heat the milk and it started to cruddle like cottage cheese.Put my hand in it and it started to feel like cheese.Kept getting warmer and started getting thicker.About a minute later it formed a very thick top layer of what seemd like real cheese. I scooped it off .A very thin looking milk was left. What happened???No rennet ,no cultures involved.I did throw it away.Afraid it might make the kids sick.Baffeled. goat.mom
