Down here in the south you would be in trouble by June, to late in July, the little dairy does start cycling early and if he or they are part boer or pygmy, 12 weeks could be to late. You are just postponing the inevitable. Whether you take him away now or in 3 weeks, he is still going to be lonesome. How about a friend? A wether is fine, though giving him a buck friend will make for much more evenly matched fights. Then you will have a buck who you can outside lease to your friends, or do outside breeding! Course if your does kid with bucklings, and he has a good temperment he can be put in with them from nearly day one! It also would be a great way to start a guardian pup! Vicki
