Without really seeing or knowing for sure what happend, its really hard to know. Several things play a big factor with kids. Something that we have run across, in a similiar situation is our kids were over-eatting, then they would lay down and die. Now we treat them with the CDT and we don't have any problems. I can't say that this is what you had but its a start. Hope things work out for your friend.
