scours within 24 hours of birth....what are we doing wrong?
Posted by Stephanie on April 23, 2001 at 12:08:33:
We raise a small herd of dairy & boer does with a boer buck. We keep all of our kids on thier mama's until weening. We have recently run across a problem of scours in our newborns, within 24 hours of birth. What are we doing wrong, or what can we do differntly?? We are giving CD&T at birth and we make sure that they are feeding within the first few hours. From scours we end up with a dehydrated kid who gets a slumpy and who has no desire to thrive.
