Sorry I didn't see that you had posted down here. Friends of mine who use alot of hoistic approaches to their health, and considereing they are very actively raising goats in their 70's and early 80's, I tend to listen to them. Their small dog has heartworms and they give him Black Walnut poweder from the health food store. It stops him from coughing and has drastically improved his quality of life. They opted not to treat the heartworms with the vet alternative since it is really posion (arsenic I believe) and there is no assurances that this would not kill the dog. Vicki McGaugh
