I would like to emphasize the importance of being as close to sterile as possible when infusing teats. Vickie has given some very good directions about infusing. After you have cleaned the end of the teat with alcohol and the doe kicks her teat or you touch the orifice with your fingers or anything other than the end of the tube of medicine you need to clean again. Many times people take germs into the teat by not being careful enough. Some administer dry treatment routinely but I don't like to take the risk of introducing germs into the teat unnecessarily so I don't treat unless there is a problem, that is a personal preference. Just be careful that you don't end up with more problems than you started with.
