We raise a large variety of chickens, guineas, ducks, etc. (as well as the goats). Matter of fact, I've got about 25 eggs pipping today. This is information I got from a hatchery for common breeds sold in stores. There are a few web sites about chickens but what I'd recommend is going to your local library and getting a couple of books - in particular the Standards book. That in my opinion is really the best source of information you can find about the types of chickens. If it is specific information you are looking for, you may want to write me privately at gary@goatworld.com and I'll answer any questions I can for you. I have a certain amount of expertise with poultry; when I was a boy, we lived right next to an egg production farm run by an old German fellow named Horst Brauer. He had well over 100,000 birds that I helped raised to some degree (more of a shoveler and gatherer I suppose).
