This is almost to silly to respond to but here it is. Worth of an animal or anything is basically what someone is willing to pay for whatever reason. If the market isn't there no one will pay the asking price and the price will come down. Basic economics. Now if you don't think a prized,coddled and cared for animal is worth more than those at auction than that is ignorance. while many get background stock from an auction, many won't go near the places. Auctions are often a place for culls while the best stock remains on the farm so to speak.
