I will agree with Michael, however, I think your worming schedule needs to be geared to your climate, how much rain, do you have water on your property and need to be concerned about liver flukes, etc. I am in SW Florida and I worm with Ivermec once a month. Another goat breeder recommended going with the Cydectin, also, because supposedly the worms (at least here) are becoming resistent to the Ivermec. I feed a 16% feed, there is one brand in particular that I like, but not sure about mentioning names here! Since mine are penned, they also get T&A hay; you will probably hear different views on this - I know I have! I have seven goats and two that are boarded here. My daughters show them in the local fair, and the boarders are shown also, so I trim their hooves once a month; mostly to prevent any of them from getting down in the hocks (just for showing). Mine are also vaccinated with the CD/T, and once a year tested for TB and Brucellosis. Good luck - I have only been doing this for a little over three years - but sure do love my goaties!
