I've owned just about every critter imaginable, but never a goat. Last year, I became the owner of a barely weaned pygmy goat. Someone familiar with cows banded him for me and he is now a year old. He is in the pasture with my horse and they love each other's company. I would like to know how often to worm him and with what type of products? Also, I feed him a little commercial goat feed when I'm giving my horse her grain and he gets hay with her as well. Can he eat the 10% sweetfeed that I feed my horse or will this cause urninary problems? And finally, do their hooves need trimming and if so, how often and with what? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
