I have a huge brush pile in one of our summer goat runs and just reciently threw in some evergreen branches. Is it ok for the goats to eat this?
I know that certain pines can cause abortion (forgot which one) and just wanted to make sure that the normal, spruce like x-mas tree arn't toxic to them. Our pasture is a bit bare at the moment, and I know that the first thing they'll scramble to is this branch.
I've heard of mechanical damage happening from goats ingesting the needles, and the battle of getting sap off... Just wanted to make sure I don't get my goats sick over something I should have known better about.
Thanks guys!
