I am a fan of Bloat Guard or Thera Bloat. I just used it on 7 of my older girls today. Very embarassing to admit but I was putting shavings in the December kids pen, and to get the truck further into the barn, moved a plastic trashcan of their feed closer to the wall. They stood on the cattle panel, flipped the lid off and ate at least 12 inches of feed! My son said "Mom the goats are trying to tear down that wall" Well yeah! To get the best hole to reach the most food! I gave everybody half of a bottle each, and of course couldn't catch my 3 year old at milking this evening. Damn they sure hold grudges! Oil is fine as long as you are careful or tube it. Thera Bloat and Bloat Guard are somehow concentrated and you only have to use a small amount, compared to the quart you have to tube of oil. Grass hay for dinner and refilled the baking soda container also. Vicki
