You should carry no responsiblity for the stock, period. They wouldn't have them at your house if they didn't feel you were reputable, so why would you put any liability at all in the contract. When goats are here boarded for breeding we charge by the day, so if the folks in your case don't show up each day to feed their stock than they would be charged, and keeping a calander in front of everyones pens would be a good idea. They should furnish all feed and grain. They should also be responsible for all vet bills. You also can't make a legal contract with a minor so this will have to be amongst the parents and you. I would for myself have strict management, that the animals will be wormed as they arrive, have their feet trimmed monthly, grained, hayed and watered everyday. Wording similar to what I use also includes the animal will be sold to pay bills if it isn't picked up in a timely manner. Also if you were charging a boarding fee, these animals would not be lingering around until the next show. I also allow 4H kids the option of cleaning barns to pay for thier breedings. Vicki
