Goat World, that is why we try to steer folks away from sheep feeds or minerals and towards cattle products. Though there are some areas mostly out west who do need to use products such as copper bolous's, I surely wouldn't be going to that extreme unless I had necropsied a goat, and then was told by liver sample, that I needed to use them.

Years, ago we found out that all of the selenium supplementation was a waste of our time, and that vitamin E was the culprit of all of our problems in our kids. Bo-Se and My-Se injections weren't working because of the minute amount of E in these selenium drugs. Since we have started supplementing our does during the last 50 days of pregnancy and uped the E in our ration, we have had no problems.

Everyones farms are going to have a different set of circumstances, just can't get new folks to understand how important it is to run fecals for worms and cocci, and use every oportunity that arises, a death or a kid you are going to butcher, or an older doe you are going to put down, to send in blood and tissue for testings to see how your overall herd health is! Very inexpensive information that can save you really big dollars. Vicki
