I would use terremyacin eye ointment, you can purchase it at any larger feed store, tractor supply or in the Jeffers Livestock Catalog 1800-Jeffers. I would guess that this is a secondary infection, and since this is turning into a herd problem would also guess that this is nutritional.
And since I am also in the south (east Texas) my guess would be copper. Vicki McGaugh
