Gestation for a goat is 5 months first of all. Are you milking her? She possibly has a large barrel and if she has plenty to eat she is filling that barrel and as does age the barrel tends to drop some. Was she with a buck after she kidded? Most good milking Alpines don't carry a lot of fleshing and do look like their sides are sunk in. Has she been wormed since kidding? The vulva usually looks loose if a doe is close to kidding. Kay: I have an Alpine doe that has large bags and a swollen stomach that looks like she is pregnant. She has hollows in her sides near her back like she has dropped and is close to giving birth.I was told she just had a litter March 1.My live stock exp is with cattle and some limited horse knowledge. So I don't know what to think.Help!!!!!!!!!!!!
