goats with 'mumps'

We are trying to get an accurate diagnosis - a goat's jaws swell so that it appears to have 'mumps'. No other swelling is noted and it responds to pencillin but the swelling returns within a few days. Eating does not appear to be affected. Others with more information/ experience, please?
