This is the world's worst question. Has anyone ever had a blind goat. We raise boer's and have kidded 8 this past month with little to no problems. We had one last Tuesday (1 week ago) and had several problems. First back legs were real weak, thanks to Vicki for your help we got her to vet and go vit b shots and bo-se. Now her legs are fine, but I think she is blind. She is walking into walls. She still staggers alittle. She eats real well. Our area is listed as moderate in selinium def. but I have 2 vets in this area that say no way. Any way we have lots of mineral blocks and also add mineral supp. high in selinum plus other goodies. We have never had any problems with white muscle. Now heres my question. How do I tell if she is blind? I am having a hard time. If she is what could of caused this. I have searched the internet and never have I came across the word blind. All inputs would be helpful. We still have one more to kid, would you give her a shot of bo-se one month before as a helper? Thanks again. Everyone is so helpful. I really don't know how I made it without this site!
